Community of Care Walk
Come walk, run, jog, or bike to bring focus to the unique mental health challenges faced by racial and ethnic minority communities.
Matteson Area Public Library District - Outside
Come walk, run, jog, or bike to bring focus to the unique mental health challenges faced by racial and ethnic minority communities.
In recognition of BIPOC Mental Health Awareness, Bebe Moore Campbell National Minority Mental Health Awareness Month, and in partnership with the Village of Matteson & Rich Township's Mental Health & Wellness Committee, join us and walk, run, jog, or bike to bring focus to the unique mental health challenges faced by racial and ethnic minority communities.
Afterwards, participate in mini workout clinics, speaker sessions, food vendors, giveaways, and more.
We will meet at the Matteson Library front door entrance.
We will take the Vollmer Grove path, across the street from the library; the total round-trip distance is 3.1 miles (but feel free to walk as much or as little as you want, as there will be turnaround points throughout the trail). Feel free to wear green to represent mental health awareness. This event is open to all ages and free to participate in. See mapld.org for more details.
